Job Title: Employer Engagement Manager

Job Type: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)

Location: Birmingham

 

Job Opportunity

The Employer Engagement Manager will assess labour market information and generate leads and relationships with the aim of bringing employment opportunities for people on our programmes. You will be required to travel and cover West Midlands Region to meet employers. Occasional visit to our Head Office in Leicester.

 

The role will include:

  • Develop strong relationships that create vacancy opportunities within the local labour market that support the contract to exceed performance expectations and the expectations of our stakeholders.

  • Develop KPIs to meet the company’s objectives and contribute towards the overall success

  • Deliver tailored services and promoting the programmes offered to employers to secure stronger relationships and long-term employer commitment.

  • Discussions with employment coaches to identify gaps in opportunities of employment and to proactively source employers recruiting in those sectors

  • Take all opportunities to sell to employers the services available to them from Business 2 Business and the benefits to their organisation.

  • Maintaining a good understanding of the local and regional labour market to inform operational delivery

  • Support candidates with informed labour market information including providing opportunities in sectors where transferable skills may be used

  • Liaise with the marketing team to identify and promote our services to employers through presentations, face-to-face communication and events

  • Establish service level agreements to manage key employer relationships

  • Ensuring vacancies are promoted internally to the employer coaches

  • Manage a database of employers using an established CRM system


This job description is intended to provide a broad outline of the main duties and responsibilities only. The post holder will need to be flexible in developing the role in conjunction with the line manager. The post holder may be asked to carry out any other delegated duty or task that is in line with their post.

 

Skills Required in this role:

  • Understanding of employer’s needs, experience of training needs analysis and organisational needs analysis

  • Experience in delivering high performance outputs via a geographically dispersed team.

  • Strong communication and analytical skills

  • Good leadership skills

  • Effective at continuous improvement to progress the organisation

  • Be able to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Use initiatives to solve problems and help the business to progress

  • Be able to work collaboratively as well and as independently

  • Commercially astute

  • Flexible to meet the demands of the role, including some overnight stays, early morning travel, occasional weekends and working late on occasion.

  • The ability to work within tight deadlines

  • Have values which match the company’s and be accountable

  • Must have driving licence and access to own car
