The Restart Scheme gives Universal Credit claimants who have been out of work for between 12 to 18 months enhanced support to find jobs.

Through their designated employment coach, the scheme provides up to 12 months of tailored support for each participant.

Through regular contact, the participant’s employment coach develops a strong understanding of the participant’s employment history, skills, aspirations and support needs. The employment coaches uses this insight to develop the right package of support to help their participant succeed.
