When Mohammed relocated from London to Birmingham in July 2025, he was hopeful for a fresh start and better opportunities. However, the transition brought unexpected challenges. With no prior work experience in the city and the added pressure of supporting his young family, Mohammed found himself facing financial difficulties and a decline in his mental health.
From day one, Employment Coach Zuhaib offered not just practical support, but genuine empathy. Through regular one-to-one meetings, Zuhaib built a strong rapport with Mohammed, creating a safe space for open conversations. This trust laid the foundation for a personalised action plan that addressed both Mohammed’s emotional wellbeing and financial concerns.
With continued encouragement from Zuhaib and the Employment Engagement Team, Mohammed applied for a role at the Boots warehouse—and was delighted to be offered the position on 17th October 2025. The four-on, four-off shift pattern has provided him with a steady income while allowing him to spend meaningful time with his family.
In under five months, Mohammed has gone from uncertainty to stability, regaining his confidence and sense of purpose. His journey is a powerful example of how compassionate coaching and structured support can help individuals rebuild their lives and thrive in new environments.
